About the museum

For more than 100 years, the Hohner company collected everything of importance to the harmonica industry. The result is a unique collection of more than 25,000 harmonica instruments, advertising catalogues and other documents. Acquired by the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1987, it now forms the foundation of the German Harmonica Museum, which opened in 1991.

200 Years of the Harmonica in Trossingen, new catalogue available soon!

The new catalogue “200 Years of the Harmonica in Trossingen” traces the development of the harmonica in Trossingen through historical sources, photographs and instruments from the collections of the Deutsches Harmonikamuseum.
