Open Storage

When the museum was founded, it took over more than 25,000 objects from the Hohner collection. The collection has naturally continued to grow over the years.

Only around 1,500 objects can be displayed in the permanent exhibition itself. They are carefully selected to match the different themes and presented in an engaging way.

To offer instrument enthusiasts even more to discover, the open-storage collection displays many additional harmonicas, accordions and other free-reed instruments.
